I have a beautiful wrought iron bed. I also have dark cherry furniture, ie dresser, chests, night stands but, I would really like to replace them with something lighter, white painted furniture or stained pickled oak which would really go better with the ocean theme of my room. The problem, what to do with my furniture?

antique, dark brown with inlays. i found 4 poster, vaity and wardrobe set for $800. they all have matching inlays. kinda beat up a bit, but i have an old house and the room that we made into our bedroom has no closet.
