What can i use to sew around flanel material that will leave holes to crohette through?
Question:i am trying to make baby blankets and burp pads.

I suggest that you hem the edges as usual and then do a blanket stitch around the edges with a darning needle and whatever you are using to crochet with. You can then slip the hook under the edge of the blanket stitch. Or, use the darning needle to make a hole in the material to push the hook through. That's the way I do it. Flannel isn't very heavy and I can usually just work a small hook into the edge of the fabric. I do it just inside the hem. Hope this helps.
Fleece doesn't unravel...
so you could sew strips of fleece with holes punched in it around the edge of the flannel.
OR you could apply some of that lacey type hem facing/seam binding. It has holes that you could crochet through.
Hope I've understood correctly.
