I have a rug want to cut into three smaller rugs. How do I go about cutting it? With what tool?

Question:How do I finish off the edges that I cut and match other sides that have the facing trim already on them? Do I go to rug store for the supplies or Large fabric store?

A utility knife would be your best bet to cut it. Flip it over and cut in from the back. As for the edges? Well, you probably won't be able to mach up edging that is already on there. My guess would be that your best bet is to trim all the edges and then put a new uniform edge on all sides. That could probably be best found at a fabric store. But you could ask at a home inprovement store like lowes or home depot
