HELP! camp i'm going to has a DISNEY theme..can i get some ideas on cabin decorations?
Question:I'm a camp counselor for a camp that is Disney themed. There's a cabin decorating contest that the campers get really excited about every year. The only problem is that I don't have any ideas on how to decorate it [without spending a lot of money] to correspond to the theme. Can anyone help me on this one?
Answers:
Well first go with colors, use a few simple colors to go with. Buy ballons crep paper etc. Then just designate like one big wall piece for each cabin, and a few smaller ones. Maybe even have the kids create their own disney art creations, you could buy the paper and art supplies and let the kids go at it. It will make them happy.
Put a mattress on the floor , put in a fake tree, hang a few stuffed squirrels, snakes, and racoons in the tree. A stuffed bear stnding off to one side. A plastic turtle on the ground or in a bowl of water painted blue, a plastic lizard. print out some ants and butterflies to put on the tree., hang some nylon netting over the mattress. Put up some fake flowers around the place. think CAMPER!!
You can certainly borrow some stuffed animals from friends.
Just go with the general theme of a disney movie...
