The walls could be base painted tan and sponge painted green on top to give it a texture. Get him to help-he'll get a kick out of it!

You can get green pieces of cloth from walmart and hang around as vines. There's a floor lamp there and online. It has five limbs. You could paint it green or wrap cloth around it to make it look like vines.

Also, you could get little toy monkeys to hang around on the edge of the bed other jungle animals like stuffed tucans and other jungle animals to place around the room. Walmart and Five Below are good places because they have nice stuff for a low price.

Bunk beds are okay. You can hang strips of cloth from the top bunk over the bottom like streamers to make a little cove or "gorilla nest" as the bottom bunk.

The rug could be a fluffy brown/tan color to be the jungle floor. The furniture could be wooden too. Wooden cubbies or brown wicker baskets could hold his clothes or little toys and things he needs to get to fast.

I'm in interior design and I think doing a jungle theme would be so fun! I hope this helps you!
See if you can find animal toy boxes. Paint large jungle type tree on the walls.
I have a jungle theme in one of my rooms in my house. You could also paint a giraffe on the walls and a zebra and jungle leaves. On my window seals I painted them giraffe colors. and my curtain is jungle also.
You could get one of those toy nets and put jungle animals in it like I did:

I hope this helps some
Try nerolac impressions to create images of hiding animals, A lamp should be 6 feet tall & look like a tree coming out of wall. It should be placed in the corner. Try to cover his bed by paper or plastic leaves. I'll suggest you more if I'll remember something.
The cartoons: The jungle Book, Transformers Beast Wars , and Tarzan! maybe a chair or two in the shape of a grass mound or a rock. Possibly get solid plastic stacking containers and/or get a treasure chest shaped toy bin. Have fun!
Love that idea! what a special grandparent that u would do this for him! wow!

I could get like the netting like they put over the beds to keep the bugs out & hang from the ceiling. U can use lamp hooks or rings & tack them around the rings & let them hang. Kids LOVE to hide.. or make it into a tent.. that would b awsome, too. Ck the fabric store clearance bins... u can usually find something there. something that would hang well. U could make one long one or 1 from the ceiling & then velcro anthr from the bttm. of the top bunk bed..

Get the funky foam that u can get from craft stores & cut out leaves.. etc.. OR the lg. sheets of craft paper.. u can glue them on the wall w/ reposition adhesives. Make some his ht so he can play w/ them.. make tree leaves.. trunks.. etc.. u can trace & cut out animals out of felt as well & place it on the wall or even dresser. If u have a dresser & don't want to repaint it.. chg the handles. Go get jungle animals like from the thrift store etc.. & super glue or gorilla glue them to the orginal handles.

If u can find a hanging lamp at a garage sale..etc.. get those garlands from craft/floral stores & wrap around the chain etc.. paint the shade a camophoge colors & hang like they said animals from them. Get that fleece material & i believe they make it w/ zebra or something like that & cut a odd shape out for a rug(s)..or even throws.. Find a wooden or play toy shot gun.. mound it to the wall for a clothes hanger.

As far as storage... craft stores sell those indivdual wooden block bins that u could paint up & put toys in them, u could even put wheels on them so they can b rolled around. OR Walmart/Target/K-mart all carry those put together cubes/drawer/shelfs that come eithr white or wood color.. or u could re-paint them if u want. U could velcro jungle material to some of the cubes to cover it or the whole thing.

Ask u'r grandson what type of animals he would like in the room. And p/u them up ( if he doesn't have them) at thrift stores.

I would do the walls in either a tan or a army green. If u feel creative copy some of the camophlage(sp) on one wall or the doors & paint them different colors to tie it all in.

Have fun.
