What kind of design should i put on my one white bedroom wall?
Question:i'm 19 yrs old, and i just painted my room a brightish kind of sky blue (if you want to see it, its BEHR brand - called LIQUID BLUE)
anyways, i painted 3 walls with the blue paint, and left the wall with my window white.would it be to overwhelming if i added designs to the white wall? i was thinking some random circles or squares or a few stripes. or should i just leave it white? my trim is black, and my ceiling and door is white.

make your own stamp. you'll need styrofoam, a sharpie and an exacto knife. mark the design you want with the sharpie then use the knife to cut away the non-stamp space. you'll be doing a lot of cutting to make the stamp space raised but it's worth it because it's personal. but it's a little tedious but it's worth it in the end. anyway you have to paint the stamp gently first. do not glop on the paint or it will ooze into the deep non-stamp space and ruin the entire project. don't use a dry brush either. that's too dry. i think you'll luv doing this for your room
Of course, it is a matter of taste - yours not anyone else's. I suggest you start with a small design and leave room to add to it later. It could be interesting over time as you add little bits and pieces.
Instead of painting, why not get a bunch of your favorite things and frame them? I have a printer so I found alot of pix I like and it looks great!
nooo go 4 it!! use the blue & put some squares & then put some frames or nick nacks centered in the squares & it would frame it out. OR Paint a few stripes ...like med size or smaller about 3/4 way up the wall either going horizontally or vertically. IF u do it horiz... it will pull u'r eye up & make that way seem taller. Then u can hang pic rt after the stripes. U can make different size circles on the wall or in a row or slanted or of diff. hues of that blue.. jst add some white.. like those 2oz btl of paint from the craft store. OR w/ the black paint u can add one of the stripes black or one of the squares black or circles black & blue... ( that didn't sound good..hehe) U can add waves ...again... horz or vert. but only a few.
