How much does it cost per sq. foot to build a cabin?
Question:I'm not looking for anything fancy. Just a basic mountain cabin to use with my family 6-8 times per year. We already have the property.
Answers:
check out Cabela's - go online and get them to send you their home and cabin catalog - its free. they have cabins in there anywhere from $14,000 to $55,000 that would be perfect. they come in kits. Definitely worth checking out - and like i said the catalog is free - go to www.cabelas.com - scroll to the bottom of the page - and click on the link for " free catalog" then you get it from there.
If you just want a single family getaway cabin with a moutinous overlook, u will need money, but if u do own the property, you could build for no more than 30,000$ whivch is very reasonable
depends on the maerials. it depends ont eh height and terrain too. also how you get the materials their. i would say as little as 80k for little vasic thing on a flat surface to about 180k on a small hill or in a hard area
That depends entirley on what the materials are, how much of the work you do yourself, what sort of utilitys you want the cabin to have, access to the site.
If you are doing the work yourself, and can harvest the timber from your property, It could cost next to nothing.
You could buy a premaid log cabin kit from a log home manfacture, and delivered to site for about 15,000$. By the time you finished out with roof, doors, window, & flooring, you would be about 25-30,000$
Or buy premade plans online (bout 100$) and collect the materials yourself. The simpler the cabin, the less it will cost.
What sort of sq. ft. are you looking at? 200 sq. ft.? 500 sq.ft.?
