Depends on what your style is, but I usually find a lot of my artwork at Kirkland's, Garden Ridge, or Michael's.
go to a big frame store or art/crafts store and look through those things already framed and ready for hanging.
Remember: Good art doesnt match the sofa.

Check out your local art scene. The art might be more expensive because it's made by an actual working artist, and therefore of higher artistic value, but you'll be supporting local individuals and local culture instead of multi-national corporations, and your piece will be one-of-a-kind. You might even make some new friends.
Remember to wait for the right piece to come to you. Don't force a decision just because you think, 'I really need to put something on that wall.'

you can look up Art on Canvas Which is paintings on canvas, which is SOO much cheaper than if you go to an art gallery and buy an ORIGINAL painting there...
