Answers:
Are you planning on re-painting your room and buying new window treatments and bedding? If so, you need to think of a theme--country, nautical, traditional, eclectic, etc.--and be sure to keep it in mind when choosing your wall color, accessories, and bedding. This doesn't mean that everything has to be matchy-matchy, you just don't want things to clash.

When choosing a wall color, I suggest a more subtle or neutral color palette--greens, browns, etc. No bright neon colors that hurt your eyes! If you want yellow, make it a pale yellow, if you like green, make it a seafoam green or a brownish-green, etc. If you're choosing a more country, southern-comfort style then a brownish-red color would look nice. If you are thinking nautical, a light tan color or a light seafoam green would give it a beach-house feel. It also helps to pick a lighter shade of paint if your room is small. Dark colors make your space appear smaller.

As far as accessories go, try to keep down the clutter (that means don't clutter the top of your dresser with a million picture frames and knick-knacs!). Choose a few things that you would like to display: a couple of your favorite pictures placed in nice frames, a few nice books from your collection, etc, and then organize the rest of your possessions that you would like to hold onto in your closet or in your dresser drawers. If still want to display your posters on the wall, try putting them in nice frames instead of slapping them on with tape.

I also recommend searching the web and the bookstore for more ideas and for pictures of rooms that you would like. Take those pictures with you to the store and try to find items that look similar to the ones in the picture. If you need help, show the pictures to an employee and ask them to guide you to similar items in their store.

Make it bright bright yellow like a high lighter.

red room, brown accents. very kool and still a way to work in your colors. and still quite youthful.
well I think you should paint your room brown and then draw a scenery of the older days. I think that would give it more of a older look and then you should draw like teams like the RED SOCKS on your Wall if you like sports like me I would put GO INDIANS!!!! on my Wall because I am more of a tomboy and Guys like that. So if you like my suggestion do it . See ya
just get different furniture
