What are some creative ideas for things to be used in place of a desk? (Besides a tv tray and a chair...haha)?

I used concrete blocks and a piece of wood. The holes in the blocks give me nice little cubbies for things like a stapler...etc.
I use an old sewing machine cabinet that someone took the machine out of. Found it at a garage sale.
A foosball or ping pong table. still usable but fun when you want to play something!
bistro table or garden bench, or an outdoor arbor with shelves.
I've used a fold-up banquet table for over 10 years now. I love it. It's sturdy and the perfect size for me and it's a dream to move and there's plenty of leg room underneath. Good luck in your search :)
You can get a lap desk, like an old breakfast tray, that sits over your lap while you're in a chair or sofa
