Exterior wall coatings?
Question:i have a roughcast walled house that has been painted many times over the years.the paint is now peeling off the walls in patches,exposing the original roughcast.what would be the best system of stopping further breakdown of the paint and finishing coatings.any idea how much it would cost? typical 3 bed end terrace.any help appreciated.

Pressure wash the exterior
Oil base primer
Exterior latex finish coat
Measure approx. sq ft. Look at paint can for sq. ft coverage for estimate of material cost.
Or get some estimates from REPUTABLE painting contractors.
-Dulux weathershield exterior coating has a guarantee of 15 years, apply 2 coats on top of existing surface. Forget about power washing it is not necessary. I know it works as I have used it in the past. ( I don't work for Dulux)
