Room make-over?
Question:hi, i am 14 and want to re-do my room (i just moved so it's a lean slate). i was wondering what would be some things i could do on a budget. i am very girly but i want to tone down all the pink and go for a look more my age. do you have any suggestions? i am also curious about what color i should paint the walls and how to up date everything with out spending a lot. thanks in advance!

Maybe paint your wall a soft purple and the other wall tan, so it's not so little girl looking and pink. I almost 15 and i shop at west elm a lot for my room, but i wouldn't really call that place girly! I would check that place out before doing anything. Go to http://www.westelm.com. Their prices are reasonable. A place that is really girly is delias.com. There prices are great and some of their rooms are really cool. All you gotta do is go to their web site and click on room.
Well I found some websites that might help. If you don't want your walls pink, I would suggest a pale yellow, green, blue or purple. Not everything has to be the same color either. You might want to visit some thrift stores (for furniture, lamps, etc.) and you can always paint stuff! Good luck!

well maybe you should paint ur room blue my rooms pink and im asking my dad if he can paint my room blue and maybe hav u no som simple thing first like a bed dresser, maybe even a night stand if u can afford it?

I personally like plain walls, probably a deep aqua blue, with white and blue artwork(lots of it!) and blue bedding and a pretty rug on wood floor.
