I am wanting to redorcated my room. What is the best way to do it cheap?
Question:I want something bold, but cheap. My walls are painted bright blue and I don't want to repaint. I have dark wood, antique furniture and I want something that can make my room mine.

ok so what WOULD make u'r room screem... Katie? What r u'r likes? Circles...stripes... geometric...flowers. posters... retro... punk...funk... 70's... ... dolls, games... what r u'r likes? That's where I think u should start.
If u have a old bed cover u don't like... u can make anthr one out of sheets esp if u can get them on sale/clearance or if they r white.. u can dye them or paint on them w/ fabric paint. Make u'r own designs... Tye dye them.. Same w/ curtains/valance to match. OR if u'r going for a softer theme w/ u'r antique furnt... go w/ the cremes/white for the Victorian style.
There r lots u can do, but it really depends on u'r likes. U can find things at thrift stores/garage sales/ flea markets.. Target back isle where they have clearance stuff or fabric stores sale/clearance bins.
U can take yarn or that new funky yarn & glue or staple them to u'r curtains or valance or make u'r own valance. U could paint dots/circles on u'r wall or stars.. use the 2oz btl paints from a craft store. W/ the material u can sew or iron pillow covers & put them over old flat pillows for throw pillows on the floor. U can do the same for over u'r old bed cover. U can take material & batting & hot glue it over a cardboard/foam board/pc of wood & hang it on the wall for photos/posters/notes
U can funk up u'r lamp shades w/ material OR paint or that funky yarn. Find an old hanging lamp or even a lamp & paint it up in u'r accent colors.

you sould think what you like you dont have to repaint wall paper is alright but i wouldn't reccomend it you could get it a way you like ask a redecorator they could give you some good advice
Throw in some moss GREEN, and some GOLD. You can find curtins, knick-knacks, bed spreads at Walmart. Good Luck

Try picking out seperates from goodwill stores, walmart, Jc Penney. The biggest thing that you can do is a comforter

1.Find some cool color paints.2. if your a girl or a boy and like pokadots then just find some card board and cut it inot circles, then find some cloth and staple it into it and then staple it to the wall.
If this is your bedroom, a new bed cover is the easiest, most inexpensive way to set the mood. If you can spend more - a (window)scarf around your windows can totally change the mood. It can be a soft color or a fun funky animal print - depending on what you are going for.
