No. Let a professional do it right. If you try do it yourself the drapery will not look right.
If you have a large work space-- you can do it-- , a block of wood for top and bottom with a way to anchor the base and a hammer that isn't too large-- and practice with another large piece of fabric-- it isn't the grommet-- it's the amount of fabric that causes the problems.
