Painting porch?

Question:If I were to put a fresh layer of paint on my concrete porch to freshen it up a bit, would I need a special paint, I know I would need outdoor paint? but anything else I need before I do this?

Answers:
i own a painting company. the best thing will be an epoxy/resin paint. you can go to sherwin williams and get the good stuff. they also make a concrete stain that is really easy to apply yourself, so you dont have to hire a professional, and it comes in all kinds of colors even custom and you will need to pressure wash the area to remove as much old paint as possible but should be ok to apply to the epoxy base without completely removing it all

If you are talking about the deck, floor, you'd definitely want to use deck paint, it's tougher than house paint.
If its for the concrete you need a concrete specific paint for sure! Something w/ epoxy but not completely necessary. Epoxy is usually used for garage floors. Just make sure it an exterior paint(for concrete), and prep the area for any loose or flaking paint. If you put the new paint over flaking old stuff it will just peel too.
