I remodeled my bathroom & have a red cherry sink base. What paint color would look the best?
Question:Right now my walls are red (2 toned sponged) but my beautiful sink base blends in with the wall!! The countertop is cream colored solid marble. My shower curtain has red, gold, and a dark sage green in them. I don't really have to match with those colors though. I really want to build the bathroom around the sink base.
We already have a lot of tan and greens in our house. So something different would be great :)

a rich goldy yellow paint would look great. you could base your theme on elegant golds and reds and build around this using the gold in alot of places and having red decorations and touches of red to bring the room together.
you should probably paint ur bathroom with a light color to match the red cherry sink. or you should paint it a color that will match it because matching is the best way to do things.
I am still tempted to say cream, or beige. I love a creamy tan color with red. I also like a stark white, which is usually boring but not in a totally red and white bathroom.Red is very bold and I would prefer to have, just pops of red, rather than a lot of it. Just the sink and cutains and accessories, ie basket, tissue holder, cups, soap holders in the red. Tan, beige, &or white is still my favorite, another is grey, or splashes of gold. I would choose a white thermofoil cabinet to make that gorgeous cherry red sink pop out. Gold & red, or red & white shower & window cutains sounds nice. Maybe, make one wall red the others white.The red wall should stand behind several white or gold items, or a white cabinet. I think that would be quite pretty, & would solve the problem of loosing your sink to the walls.However, if you just purchased your cream cabinet, I would build on that color, using a shade of that color on some of the walls, and keeping one wall red.splahes of gold with the tan or beige would also look nice.I have a red & white living room, with splashes of gold, all my visitors gravitate to & love this room. Because I have white leather sofas, I did not plan to entertain in this room, but its popularity with all my guests won out.

considering the other colors in the room, i would suggest cream colored walls. Let your decor be the added color. Lighter colors also make the room appear larger.
I am answering this question based on the fact that I am guessing that your sink base is "stained cherry wood" and not cherry red coloured (bright red) as I think people are thinking it is.
If I am correct then I am suggesting a cool colour to contrast the warm wood.
