Try looking at some of these wall murals. They are beautiful and very reasonably priced. then paint the other walls a coordinating color and add a beach chair and small outdoor table next to the mural. Add sea shells or a sand bucket as a flower pot or for odds and ends. There are a lot of beach type
spreads and sheets. You can turn sheets into curtains so easily And , myself, i would even paint the ceiling a light sky blue.
Keep it simple. As with the beach white sand; tans; blues; crisp linens and plenty of "air" are the secrets. I used a really nice paneling from the floor up. I don't remember what it was called, but the panes were small; about 1/2 inch between rows. Curtains in a billowing white or white/light beige linen. Mint green is a nice beachy feel; plenty of candles with hints of coconut; and light floral scents add to the mood. A net to hold shells in a corner shelf is cute as are jars full of smaller shells. A grassy looking plant pulls it all together. Good luck. Hope this helps! Nana
Paint the room a pale blue or white. Or a sunset mural. For curtains use bamboo roll shades, they sell them at Home depot, Get a sea grass area rug, that is braided. Collect sea shells and punch a small hole in them run string through them to make a wind chime, and hang in front of the window. Also you can by a ship in a bottle and place ontop of dresser for a visual interest point. Hang bright colored beach towels on a wall peg shelf (coat rack).

Ciao!
how about painting the walls a soft aquamarine blue/green,
a seagrass-look rug, paint the ceiling a soft lavender blue, use a low beach chair for seating and how about a wide stripe fabric in blue and white for the linens, furniture in white
My sister-in-law decorated her bathroom with this theme and found some bamboo looking wall board at a home improvement store. I would also suggest leis and grass skirts that you could use maybe as a dust ruffle for a bed or even curtains. Shells and glass bottles...and of course sand are always good ideas also. Good luck.
go to www.swell.com and look at the cool "beachy" decoration.
you can buy bedspreads, curtains, wall decor...etc.
You can buy any size seashells at walmart in bags you can hot glue them to anything; around mirrors, picture frames, etc. You can also glue them on lamp shades, buy old fishing net dye it a pretty color and hang it in corner or on wall above bed and glu seashells and starfish in it.
If you go to www.tatouagedesigns.com you will find some great beach theme wall designs that are easy to apply and will be a great start to your theme. These will give you the look of hand painted walls.
