Remodeling design?
Question:who is the best person (occupation) to help me figure out how to remodel my house..someone who will come in to my house and give me ideas on what walls or parts of walls can be removed, to help me figure how I can turn my half bath into a full bath... Im not looking for decorating tips.

shop around for a contractor that is know in your community & specializes in remodeling. Call paint stores, electricians, plumbers, etc for reccomendations. These can be some of your best referrals because they deal with the local contractors in your area more & word of mouth is sometimes the best information. Also check your local chamber of commerce to get a list of their members. Dont go with the first on, check several!!! check with the better business bureau, and most states have a place you can check for licensed contractors. Use all the resources available to be sure not to be a victim of a scam
A general contractor who specializes in home remodeling is what you're looking for. Ask friends and neighbors who have had things done on their homes for referrals. Most (good) contractors work by word of mouth.
