What colors go with purple?
Question:Im redecorating my bright purple bedroom. I was thinking brownish and maybe a hint of pink? And suggestions?

with purple id go with silvers , whites , and blacks. not too much black but just for detail. a nice sky blue blends well ...ivorys for floor rugs like those cute rabbit fur floor rugs to go around the bed . stay away from the brown . alot of white ,, white picture frames... get some of those wall cubes "white" to hang on the wall to put things on like small flower assortments (fake ones of course) .. like light blue flowers ,, silver lamp post with a white shade... tea light candles can also go on top of the wall cubes to add a dramatic / romantic apeal. id stay in those colors tho.. just simple silver white black and a pinch of sky blue since the walls are already a nice all around color of purple. think soft fuzzy and warm... itll be soo cute!! good luck !~!~

I would not use brown, I would use pink and lavender
I also would not use brown. I would go with red if you want to stay bold or silver if you want to tone it down.
you have to be careful with the shade of brown...it would work with a chocolate brown...you can use a light gray if light purple
shadeds of red pink cream a little gray mabye blue whatever you like
Look at a colour wheel. Whatever colours are directly opposite each other are the ones that compliment each other best.

beige
black
gold or silver
green
if brown, depending on the shade of purple you're using. if redish purple, go for redish brown. if blueish purple, go for blackish brown
purple,pink and beige with gold would be perfect
