How much should I sell a leather couch and chair for that is six years old?
Question:Geniune leather with a few scratches...has been moved 3 times.
Answers:
Following customary insurance payout guidelines, it's a flat 10% depreciation for each year of age. Actually, these are pretty close to what the market will pay.
So, if you paid $1,000 for the couch, 6 years later, it's worth $400.00.
As much as you can get for it. Try eBay.
couch-250 or 300,chair-150or200
In general you sell for 1/4 buying price.
If you paid $1000 and it is in good condition $250
Excellent condition $350 and poor condition $150
It really depends on how much you paid for it, brand name and the condition its in today. That must be your dog in the picture? Also you say it has been moved three times? I would say for how new it is, if you didn't originally pay high end that 1/2 of the purchase price is a good rule of thumb. Try craigslist.com to list for free or you can also list it on eBay with a reserve of the lowest price you would take. Another option would be a furniture consignment store. The down fall to that is you would have to move it there yourself and if it in turn doesn't sell you have to go back and pick it up!
Good Luck with selling it!
At a garage sale, I'd say you'd probably get $75 - $100 for both.
a pic would help us help you. you can use craigslist and say "OBO" which means "or best offer"
so you would type it like this: your figure as xxx e.g. "$xxx, OBO"
