How to cut 'peal and stick' vinyl square flooring?
Question:I want to cut it perfect for certain spots that have angels but how can you do that? Stace it?
Answers:
Although I know alot of people use utility knives to cut peel & stick tiles, but my preference is definitely scissors, whether it be a straight line or not. I find the scissors easier to control. It's not always easy to make a utility knife stick right on the straight edge you're using to make the line, especially if the tile is in any way textured. I prefer to measure, draw my lines on the back of the tile and cut away with the scissors. I have great success with this method... much better than when I used to use a utility knife!
I use a utility knife for straight cuts (along with a straight edge) and scissors for curved cuts.
use a utility knife or a carpet knife to cut striaght cuts and scissors for the curves.
It's been a long time since I put that in, but I remember that laying a few tiles in a warm, not hot, warm oven made the tiles easier to work with, then measure twice, and cut once.
Patience, as long as you take your time and measure carefuly you'll do well.
