How do i treat waxed pine wood?

Question:i am buying new corona pine furniture and i have been told i will have to treat it regularly but i dont know what to treat it with and how often it should be done

Answers:
You will have to strip it off periodically (1 or 2 times a year) and then paste wax it. Restoration Hardware has a good product in their store and also on the website. Just follow the directions. Be really careful to use coasters on waxed furniture or you will get a white ring that you will have to fix. My kids don't listen, of course so I finally stripped off the wax and put on several coats of tung oil for the finish. Now I use lemon oil and find it is much easier to deal with. But the waxed finish is pretty.

Beeswax furniture polish is as good as anything and is fairly cheap. Some prefer lemon oil.
