I was told to install my hardwood floors using Bostiks Best on a concrete subfloor?

Question:THe hardwood is called "Sucupira" and it is a brazillian wood that is very dense and heavy. 3/4" thick and 3 1/2" wide. The distributor said as long as i acclimate from 3-5 days properly (temp etc in house), that i could use Bostiks Best hardwood glue to install on a concrete subfloor.

Any experiences?

Bostik's Best is currently the number one selling urethane bonding agent and I agree. My brother uses it extensively in his remodeling contracting.

Here is some reassurance to what the distributor told you:

I don't know what kind i have in my office, but I do have wood flooring. The man that installed it didn't use any glue, but did use a pad underneath it. I think you might want to consider that. He wedged all of the pieces together, one by one, and pulled them tight with some sort of straps. The floor is really nice, no cracks, and no warps. Maybe read up on a handyman website, or if the manufacturer has a website they might list tips. I don't think i would do the glue. Good luck.
