How to remove scratches from furniture?

Question:due to my job we have moved a lot and our dinning set now has number of small scratch marks on it. how do I remove them and then how do I polish it afterwards. it has french polish finnish

Answers:
if you cut a brazil nut in half, then rub over the scratch with the inside part of the nut and the scratch should disappear.
To polish you need a wax polish or bees wax polish

Buy a very inexpensive thing called an almond stick. Can be found maybe at a big drugstore, or you may have to call a furniture store to find out where to find it. The almond stick comes in various colors for the color of your wood furniture. You just rub it on lightly and it makes the scratch seem to disappear. Then you can repeat whenever necessary.
