Wall plates and knotty pine wall paneling?

Question:I am stuck on which color wallplates to use in my dining and living room. Both rooms have knotty pine wall paneling and hardwood floors. The ceiling is white and the chandeliers are white and gold. I have narrowed it down to 4 colors; white, wood, gold or bronze. Which color do you recommend with the knotty pine. use the wood ones... or u can try the bronze & c.. i don't think u want the eye to go to the plates so less brightness as in white or gold would b not recommended. NOW if u'r adding lots of white & gold IN the room... then u could get away w/ it but personally i wouldn't do it so that way everyone's eye would b for the decor not the plates.
