How should I paint my bedroom?
Question:I have so many ideas running around in my head for this and I'm not 100% on any of them, so I figured I'd take it to Yahoo!
I have just got done painting my room a very pale gray. It's on the cool side and when the light hits it's almost white. I bought a dark shade of gray as well along with some white paint. Most of my furniture is black and I will be hanging pictures in black and white.
I know these are the colors I want, but I can't figure out what else to do besides having a plain room. I want some kind of accent wall, so some detail. Something.
Any advice is great.
Thanks.

You could use the dark grey and paint all different size circles on just one wall. Or stripes. But just on one wall, since it would be something more than just a different color than the light grey.
Try finding a darker shade than that. Then Stick with that.
no offence but who paints there room gray? if u don't wall the wall to be bright you should have left them white..but what ever that's your room and your choice:]! so what you should do is leave the walls light gray, and paint the wall with the bed dark gray. that would look nice. and get like vases with dry arrangements for your room. also put a table with a a candlestand somewhere. you can get this stuff at a store called pier 1 imports. and add a gray rug with black polka dots. you can get that at pier 1 imports also. so good luck!
Have you thought about faux finishing an accent wall? The options are endless if you look around. Check out some of the samples at http://www.coloradofauxpainting.com/faux...
or follow the HGTV link on the home page at http://www.coloradofauxpainting.com/...
Also, you can go to the faux painting color options page at http://www.coloradofauxpainting.com/faux... and view the Benni-Moore interactive design studio, which allows you to pick a type of room and then change the colors of the base and trim to see if they go together. It also allows you to see what a faux finish would look like.
If that is not enough, you can upload your own digital photos and play with the colors that way.
Hope that helps,

I think it would look cool if all of your pictures were black and white except one which is very colorful. Ahhhh, I have a very perfect painting for this in mind (actually, it is sitting right next to me). My sister painted some flowers on a huge canvas (it's taller than me), but they are kind of more abstract and the focus is on the very saturated colors. There is not any detail to the flowers, but the paint and colors are very detailed and has a lot of different shades in even just on color.
For an accent wall, I guess I would use something like that painting, something with color and something that you think is especially attractive. Maybe if it has windows, you put your chair right there and a potted tree or something, you know, organic. This way there is the contrast, looking outside to the sun with some plants, and the other side of the room is cool gray.
