Adding details to a beach room?
Question:I'm redecorating my room to be a beach theme. Any ideas on what to do? And places to shop at? Because im kinda on a tight budget. Thanks!!

being that u'r on a tight budget... try thrift stores/garage sales/ swap meets .BIG Lots, Walmart... places like that.
U can always find something esp when it comes to baskets which r popular w/ beach themes, fish, seashells...
If u find seashells... u can cover the edge of a mirror, u can use them for decor on the ends of u'r curtain rods or valance rods. U could even hang them from u'r curtain/valance. U can add fish net to u'r top part of curtains & stick shells in them. U can even do that over u'r bed for a decor/headboard. P/u old frames/ paint them & fill them w/ chicken wire for u'r earrings/necklaces... put pegs on the sides or cup hooks & paint the frame & put some shells. U can even get some neat material at clearance bins at fabric stores/thrift stores/Walmart & frame w/ batting for pin ups of photos/notes
use baskets for trash/decor/items/... U could also do u'r lamp OR lamp shade w/ the material or shells like dangling.
Use material that u find to go w/ u'r decor for pillows/cushions/throws/fake rugs/valance/etc...
if find a old hanging lamp, u can use the gutts & take a basket & use as a shade instead of the orginal fixture OR put over the orginal fixture.
Just look at things a bit different & B creative! I would adventure all the thrift stores/garage sales to help. U can always find something there.

What about candle holders/vases filled with sand. Get white pillar candles to put on top. Maybe a piece of driftwood proped up in the corner(you could buy the wood and sand it yourself to smooth it). Try craft stores and browse through Coastal Living Magazine at stores for ideas.
Use blue's, greens and sand/beige and whites.
Glue seashells to picture frames and mirrors.
Display bathroom towels in a straw beach bag in the bathroom.
Do some google searches for "beach theme decorating, etc."
Sounds like fun!
u can get some rope or twine and wrap it around a chair or a mirror's frame.
take some mason jars and put sand in them and puy candles in the sand.
add some tropical plants.
