What kind of adhesive do I use to attach a granite vanity surface to the vanity?

Question:The instructions only say, "Apply a bead of adhesive". Would I be using simple caulk for a job like this? It seemed like the vanity I removed was attached to our walls just with a thick bead of caulk to hold it in place. Or is there some other kind of adhesive I should use? Elmer's glue?

Answers:
Silicone would be your best bet, after that something like liquid nails

You want to use something called adhesive as some caulkings never get hard enough to hold well. I would use construction adhesive as it is very strong and sticks to almost everything.

Do not use wook glue or white glue, they are brittle and will break loose.
Yes, you can use standard caulk as the adhesive.

Granite is so heavy that it will stay in place under its own weight.
