Can I put wallpaper border along the middle of the wall in a baby's room without painting 2 different colors?
Question:The walls of my baby's room are already painted and I want to put a wallpaper border that matches my crib bedding in the room. Should I hang it near the ceiling or in the middle? Also, if I hang in the middle, do I need to add a chair rail to the room or paint the bottom a different color from the top? Basically will it look odd if I only have the wallpaper border in the middle of the wall?

sure you can.....its your house and it will look fine
Just hang the border. Brother inlaw did this and it looks fine
first remember, you can do whatever you want! Maybe light tape it (not glued down) to see how it looks. If YOU like it, then it's a deal. Remember, the baby won't remember any of this at all, so YOU enjoy it! Although I like the idea of the chair rail.
of course you can the boarder is going to break up the top and bottom of the wall
To be honest, I think it would like a little odd, like it's just kind of floating in the middle of no where, or like it was just an afterthought. I would hang it at the top.
I have seen borders at the top but not all of the way up to the ceiling, I think I have even seen it just maybe a foot or two down from the top... You could try something like that so it's not so ordinary...
If you haven't already bought the wallpaper border - you could try to find some cute stencils that match and put random little different stencils in coordinating colors thoughout the room. I think that sort of thing is so cute for a childs room.

Its extremely common to do this . I remodel for people all time and in baby kids rooms its like a chair rail . And if bottom get beat up just paint it. good luck
