Answers:
Colors for a beach décor should make you think of the beach. Light and breezy with lots of blues and maybe even some yellows. If you prefer neutral tones think of the beige of beach sand and the color of shells.

Incorporate sea shells, ocean prints, and other seaside accents that will help bring out the beach in your bedroom.

Make it feel light and airy thats all it got have fun x

i was in the same boat as you a couple of months ago, this is what i did, go here-

it looks kiddish but it has a feeling in it that makes you feel like your on a beach!
beach. lavenders/peach/pink/teal... or even sandy tan

so u can ADD to the blue walls but if u'r not game to paint... then lean more towards texture.

U can get material from fabric stores clearance bins to help w/ pillows or cushions.. drapes.

Wicker baskets, seashells, fish, fish netting, boat rope, add some more color sheer to u'r canope... hang shell ropes to tie them back for drapes as well..

use boat rope & sheer material & fish netting along w/ shells for valance.

cover mirrors/pic frames/bed frames/ w/ shells

use wicker rugs w/ clearance fabric on the ends w/ hot glue to dress it up. Use placemats for valances. or to put into batted frame for earrings/photo pin up etc.

try http://www.hgtv.com or http://www.diynetwork.com

soft colors go w/ beach theme... u can tone down u'r blue by adding these colors. Look at shell & what colors do u c... those r the colors u want to put into u'r room. U can use 1 or 2 accent colors. Add those colors all over & even u'r walls to chg it up.

B creative & have fun!
