Is lattice heat resistant?

Question:I need to cover my radiators because I'm starting a daycare in my home. Could I use lattice in the wood frame that I make to cover the radiators? The lattice will be like 2 inches away from the radiator so it won't be touching the radiator. I just want to make sure the lattice is heat resistant.

I wouldn't trust it if it is wood.You might be able to paint one side with a heat resistant paint.Far better would be a frame with wire netting in it.Like that fine chicken wire.So long as the littlies won't get too near it. Good Luck!
