I am thnking about buying a feather bed, is it a good idea?
Question:I already have a pillow top matress, so would a feather bed really make any difference comfort wise?

Yes, I have one. It makes it quite a bit softer to sleep on. The only problem with them is they make the bed really hot, so I don't recommend them for the summer.
No and they are very hot in the summer
I use to have a feather bed. It so sucks! the feathers (the ends) would come out of it and poke you. It feels comfortable but the feathers are such a problem i will never use one of those again
I don't like feather beds because the quills bother me. I prefer a down bed. Just stick it in the dryer with a tennis ball once a month to fluff it back up.
But I gotta tell ya, I am in love with my memory foam topper. I thought it would be too firm but it is fantastic. I have a 2 inch on my pillow top.
