Table Protectors for Dining room table?
Question:I am buying a old real wood antique table and I would like to keep it's beautiful look, however I want to preserve the wood. What can I do to protect the top of the table what type of cover and where do I buy it? The table is solid cherry wood and it's about 25 years old. The measurements are 75 1/2 " long with the leaf and 15 1/2" wide.

You can have a plexiglass top made for it. Look in the book for glass shops locally. Be sure to mut felt pads between the top and protector.
are you talking about stain? if so go to home depot or lowes..tell them what type of table you and have and what you want the finish to be.most important test the stain in a small - not gonna notice area..that way if you don't like it then you haven't ruined the whole table..
