How often are you suppose to repaint a house?

it depends on the quality of the paints used and of course the maintenance..but a professional would recommend repainting every 5 years.
Interior painting is a very asthetic thing. You can paint as often as you like, or when u feel the walls are looking dull.
you should paint it every 5-10 years if you still want it to look new. every 3 years will waste to much of your time and money. we paint my house like every 7 years and it still looks new before we do.**

i started painting mine 2 years ago and its still going on... so i'd say every week.
i know a man who paints one side of his house every year...so he gets a new paint job every 4 yrs.
