I'm decorating the whole house and I really need some help.?

Question:I have a color picked out for the kitchen/breakfast nook. It's Edgy Gold from SW. I need something for the family room and it needs to coordinate. I tried SW Anjou Pear and it's too yellow, I'm looking for somthing more golden. What do you think of SW Golden Fleece or maybe Butternut. I wish I could post pictures so you could see the fabrics I choose for the windows. The have golden browns, reds and greens in them. We also have a stone fireplace so I don't want to go too brown and have the fireplace blend in. One last issue is that it is open to the foyer and a hallway. I'm trying to avoid having a different color in each area. I did that in my last house and got tired of it. I want something that flows.

My next "problem area" is the master suite. I have traditional Cherry furniture with red & gold bedding and curtains. I'm thinking SW Svelte Sage as an accent but I'm stuck for the other 3 walls. I want something warm and the room is large enough to handle a dark color

Answers:
I've been playing around with SW's Color Visualizer, and if I had to choose between Butternut or Golden Fleece with the Edgy Gold, I'd go for the Butternut. However, after trying on several other colors, I think that Ceremonial Gold or Bakelike Gold would work better.

I love the Svelte Sage, and if you're looking for something dark, Jasper worked quite nicely with it, and so did Andiron. And both looked *fab* with red.

Why are you driving yourself crazy? Just use the Edgy Gold from SW for the family room too. The reason I say this is that your home will look much larger with fewer colors in the primary living area. In the foyer and hallway go the same or lighter shade as a hallway tends to be dark.

In your master suite. I would do gold walls or a medium beige color and one red wall that is the same color in your bedding.. If you don't have sage green in your bedding design, then use gold walls with one red accent wall. Or a warm beige with the one red accent wall. It will look spectacular, especially with your traditional cherry furniture. If the room is large enough to handle it, then go for it. You can always repaint if you find it too much.
for the master suite you might consider angel's gate by benjamin moore. it's a sophisticated yellow and i think it will make your cherry furniture look marvelous and plus it won't compete with the bedding which sounds gorgeous. also, fyi, bmoore has a special line of paints called aura which are supposedly the highest quality money can buy. if you're looking for angel's gate just be aware it's not part of the aura line. edit: royal linen looks even more smashing than angels gate. they're on the same chip
