Can I put boxspring on floor?
Question:Just purchased new bed...like sleeping in a watchtower. It is way too high! I removed the frame and put the boxspring/mattress directly on the floor. At least I don't have to take a running jump to get into bed! Any reason the boxspring cannot be on the floor, instead of the frame?
Answers:
Buy an inexpensive regular size frame. They barely are off the floor. You can put your boxspring on the floor but wouldn't you rather have a more finished look for your bed than a dorm room look? You can also build a wood frame yourself or have someone do it for you to the appropriate size.
no it is fine.
Of course. the frame for a box spring is just wood or metal anyway.
yes
I did the same thing with my bed but when I bought the mattress the salesmen said it will void the warranty if the box spring is on the floor... I did not even know mattresses came with warranties so it didn't stop me!
it's fine--I've had a lot of roommates who did the same thing.
Should be no problem. You might put a throw rug under it if it is on a bare floor to prevent scratching the floor.
it is ok
