How do i attach curtains to a metal door??
Question:it is a metal kitchen door, with a large window that i don't want to leave open
Answers:
Hi: I think the best bet is magnetic curtain rods..they come
in many colors and sizes..they are available in most places
that sell curtains, shades, and rods.
DO NOT make any holes in your metal doors..they are metal
for your protection again fires so don't ruin the integrity of the
door..
You can buy magnetic curtain rod brackets at any home improvement center. (Home Depot, Lowes)
Probably find them at WalMart, too.
just use self tapping screws, use a metal drill bit ,drill holes for brackets then screw into the holes easy, use goggles
You'll have to drill pilot holes for the screws. Use a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the screw. You'll want to use a better screw than what comes with the curtain rod, those are usually flimsy and snap easily.
If you don't want to put screws in you door there is a product that photographers use to hold things on walls its like a plastacine putty you could put the bracket holders on with that and put up the curtains. Try any hardware store they should have it, sorry I don't remember the name of the product. Good luck
You can buy rolls of Velcro at almost any Hardware store, that has sticky stuff on both sides ,but you may have to safety pin the curtain side to make it hold..
