love the idea. Go nautical and put charts and maps all over the wall- make them look old by staining them with tea, and burning the edges. Roll up old charts and tie them with a ribbon and place on upper shelf.
You can also project a picture of an old sail boat onto the wall and paint it. Use coffee grounds to stain wall after painting.
