compressed wood looks just like it sounds..cheap and weak.
You will spend a good amount of money even for compressed
wood,. so why not buy a good piece of used furniture..
good wood is lasting and looks expensive...so even if you
buy used you will enjoy making the piece over, with a little
sanding, staining or painting...you can find any style you want
The only thing I recommend you buy new and it may seem
expensive at the time would be a boxspring and mattress.
wish I could go shopping with you, I love to shop for used
furniture and new furniture...
BUY IT. Put the rest of the money in the bank and you could buy a new one every few years on the interest alone. If you want real wood go used. $1000 in furnature is worth $150 the day you buy it.
