Does a red accent wall sound like a good idea to go with a silver paint?

Question:My sofa is black leather, and the main paint that i am going to use is a light silver color. I am thinking of painting one wall with a reddish paint, a nice red color not to dark or to bright lol, but i am looking for a modern look. would this idea be good?

Answers:
take a digital photo of your room - including the sofa and use this tool from Crown Paints to see what you plan looks like:

yes i think it will work. black, red, and silver go very good together. those are the colors in my room.
Yes, it's a good idea. Enjoy!
I am an artist and i deal with like alot of this stuff! Um that really doesnt go that well because red is very calm and relaxed yet silver is very flashy and very entergetic. um to make the room look more modern i would put more modern furniture. the color of the room doesnt really make the room modern... its whats in the room that makes the room modern!!

from an artist perspective! : )
A red accent wall would look great..but make sure you pick a 'cool' red..one with no orangey tones..your paint store should be able to help you with that..and you will probably have to go with 2 coats of paint..and if you want something not too dark or bright try a more matte red ..that will keep it from looking to 'bright'
yes black & red are very modern colors!
sounds gorgeous. a little red goes a LONG way.
I would be careful.I don't know what finish your silver paint is, but the tones or the values of the paint should match , so go to a good paint shop and get someone to help you find the right match. It's a lot of work painting and you want to be sure before you start. Good luck
Definitely! Pick a red with blue overtones, not yellow.
Try cherry red, raspberry, or bugundy.
I would suggest using the sofa wall, or the biggest wall, for the red.
