What is the best flooring for bathroom , marble or any other?
Question:our present bathroom is of antiskid ceramic tiles , but it does slips and also gathers dirt in its gaps ,
Answers:
ceramic tiles r not good for bathroom.
use marble as this dries up fast.
good vinyl is the best i think, than you won't have to worry about dirt getting in the cracks
Good quality ceramic tile is always a good choice. Just make sure to seal the grout with a good quality sealer. Laminate or vinyl is not only cheap looking but very hard to keep clean.
they call it EPOXY i can assure u it is THE BEST of the pick!
happy bathing!
Best for isolation is one piece plastic parked ,does not have any opening if get wet floor and cleaning is very easy.Other than that clay tile .Marble has natural cracks and water will pass trough after while.
u could try a vinyl tile look; looks like tile, but won't trap dirt and dust
if you are interested in natural stones, go slates or marble.in marble do not polish too much..
Or
you can try rustic / slate series in vitrified tiles, it is also good.
regular maintenance for bath room is necessary, cleaning tiles, flooring, bath room accessories, etc.,
whatever you decide, slate, marble, vinyl --- make sure that it is a tight porous material and that the joints are sealed. Caulk the edges to prevent water damage. If you are on a wood floor, use a backer board and when you replace the toilet, used a heavy duty seal on the bottom of the stool
Wondermarble - in big pieces and with minimum joints. I have tried all the options and found this to be the most practical
Present bathroom tiles slippery ---if worn out/water stays inside.. Marble is also slippery.Anti-skid tiles of any brand holds good.
Never use marble for Bathroom flooring...Ceramtic tiles are easier to maintain ..also choose only dark colours.
PL ENSURE THAT THE FLOOR/TILES ARE NOT HIGHLY POLISHED AND NOT SLIPPERY
