Are there any health issues with living in a house built in 1903? House is located in Los angeles area.?

Question:Structure seems ok

Answers:
You will have more dust in a home of this vintage than you would see from something a bit more modern. This can be a problem for people with some health conditions, but in general it is just a nuisance.

The two big issues are going to be lead based paint and asbestos.

A home of this age will certainly have had some lead based paint at some point. This is more of an issue for children, but it can cause problems for anyone if enough of it enters the body.

Asbestos may not be a problem, as it was not really used in the early 1900s. Remodeling since then may have introduced some. Even if it is present, it is not a problem unless the asbestos fibers are coming out of the product and floating about. Most asbestos containing materials are OK as long as they are in good condition.

just make sure there is no aspestes insilation, mold problems or lead based paint, all of these things can be taken care of though
Make sure to check for lead and asbestos in the paint, since there were no regulations about that at the time. Also, inspect the property for termite damage.

Best of luck!
Have a professional home inspection, then you'll have no doubt one way or the other.
