Which granite (light or dark color) will look best with stainless steel applicences, light tile, oak cabinet?

Question:

Answers:
Go dark for the contrast. Dont forget you can get thinner granite (3/4), add a piece around the edges for a rounded bullnose, making it look twice as thick!

def the dark for contrast to all the light colors
I say DARK ..As It will be nice Combination ..!
a darker tile as you have the lighter tiles.. and the med in oak..and the dark granite like a dark hunter green with a lighter vein in it would look great
We have the same kitchen with the exception of Maple cabinets. We have a granite that is shades of creams, tans and browns with some black in it. I really like it, the black makes it just dark enough for me.
It is generally recommended that the flooring and the countertop have the same color tones. When you pair a dark countertop with a lighter floor, the eye is going to go directly to the countertop - which isnt natural. So I would definitely recommend one of the lighter toned granites: caricoa gold, golden fantasy, or New Venetian Gold. I think Venetian Gold is one of the most beautiful granites.
i would think the dark would look best i think it would make everything "pop", if you know what i mean.
