Answers:
Use Vanish - trust pink, forget stains!
By the way, is leather supposed to smudge?
cry rant and rave
You'll probably find that your sofa wasn't actually leather...
That should not have happened to a leather sofa, complain to the shop where you bought it
I agree - was it really leather......?? my pal has a lovely leather sofa in pale yellow, she rubs Nivea cream into it, then buffs it up with a clean soft cloth - its looks lovely! and doesn't crack in funny places.......
Buy a nice cushion - what you cannot change, cover up and hope no one notices
Leathers are dyed in some cases and if it is leather try matching one of those shoe dyes to the colour and maybe that will cover it up. If it is a brown or black just use the liquid shoe cleaner and try a small bit to see if the colour matches which is a lot cheaper than the shoe dyes.
if your sofa was from SCS , DFS , land of leather etc then it is likely to be made from the 3rd peel of leather - very poor and thin quality. The dye doesn't soak into that leather properly.
i'd get shoe dye and try that.
This very much depends on what type of leather you have.
If the leather has been left looking lighter it is possible that the finish has come off. If your suite is not very old it would be advisable to go back to the shop where you bought it. If this is not an option you will need ot get a leather technician in to look at it for you and he will be able to fix the problem.
DO NOT USE shoe polish as this will make any further repairs impossible and it will make thing slook much worse than they are.
Invest in some good leather protector and keep your leather regularly cleaned and protected which will help guard against further problems.
