I have a realitivly small room im tryna figure out how i should decorat it.need help...?
Question:i basically want these things in a room:
1.a day bed with storage under it or a sofa bed.which one?
2.and bookcase (sticking outward from the wall to form an extension that will look like another wall)with a cloth covering over it for my work station.Is it too much?
3.to leather chairs a small table and a large flatscreen TV. to portray a living room area.is that too much?becuz i want the room to look like a living room at day. and just pull out a bed at night.
4.a ceiling fan,a LARGE lamp,and reset lights.is it too much?
5. also i have a closet. but i want a large storage station that takes up a whole wall.should i keep the closet or work with the new storage station?
6.and color. i love bold colors.like dark purple,red,brown,greens. but im afraid of making my room appear smaller by using darker colors. is there a way i can throw in the dark colors without making my room dark and gloomy.
my overall want in my room is:neatness ,comfortable and roomy.

4. Go with the fan, but reset lights are expensive and you need to install new lighting pathways. Lots of lamps are good because they'll help make the room look bigger.
5. Keep the closet since a whole wall storage can cost the lowest price of around 1700 dollars but a closet is free since you've already got it. Buy some hangable cubbies, though, and put them inside the closet.
6. Make the furniture dark and put accents of those dark colors all around the room. Pick one color and make the trim of the room that dark color, but pick a lighter shade of purple, red, brown, or green for the walls. This way you still have your colors in all variety, but the room looks bigger. Also, more lights and mirrors can give the illusion of a bigger room.
#2 is a great idea. for #6 i would say distribute the dark colors evenually to different parts of the room. ie spread the colors out to move the eyes around
