How to finished my unfinshed basement??
Question:my basement is now no longer have leaks through the walls. Now I want to finished my basement. Any Plans??

build a large open basement, none of that room divided b/s if you were planning that
have an utility room for laundry(if its in the basement)
for the rest of the basement build a small kitchen thats like a bar also
have large flat screen tv and pool table.
rest of the space can be open for lage parties and gatherings.
expect to waste atleast $5,000-10,000 for a good finished bastment that will last for years to come.
also lets not forget a bathroom.

Best suggestion I can give you is talk to a local contractor. There are different materials you can finish it in. Also talk to the guys at Home Depot if you want to do it yourself. They can show you the different materials, give you estimates on costs, and give you instructions on how to install it. Hope this helps and good luck with you project!!
you could make it in to a game room or a theater room or a bar room you could paint the walls just use a paint that is for block if that's what you have for walls use a paint that has a mold inhibitor in it and sealer for extra water seal it would be the cheapest or you could put up furring strips and drywall it and put down carpet tile drop ceiling the possibilities are endless just depends on how much your willing to spend
Your thinking should revolve around the question "what do we lack in this house & what would this room need to be(a game room, family room etc)"
options would be a storage room, homethater room, game room, music room.
