Help! i got black paint on my tan carpet, how can i get it out??

Question:

Answers:
oil-based---take paint thinner on a rag and dab it
latex---use denatured alcohol
if its dry and on top of carpet, use scissors and you might be able to cut the tips off. But be careful of cutting at a downward angle as you might cut too deep and it will be visible

What kind of paint? Oil based? Acrylic?
and what kind of carpet - wool, nylon, polyester, or olefin?
this might sound stupid, but trust me, it works.. lol.. okay...

I had tan carpet put in my sons nursery a few days ago. Well I hadn't finished painting the walls blue so i was doing paintin. My husband hands me the brush with blue paint on it and i drop it. there was blue paint on the tan carpet. I filled up a cup, 1/3 bleach, 2/3 water. Then I used a medicine dropper and dotted it all across the blue paint. Don't do it excessively or the carpet will be white there. Just dab it once, rub it. and do it again, til its gone. It worked with me, hope this helps.

If its hard now, go get some paint thinner and it will also help you.
if it is latex use (GOOF OFF) it is the very best home depot
