Is there anyone who can direct me to antique rare sewing machine appraisals?

Question:I have a rare antique sewing machine that I have traced back to the 1890's. It is an industrial Singer machine that has bike pedal treadle. Does anyone know about a machine like this or does any one know of a good apprasial company that I can contact?
I have searched all over the internet for information on this machine and I have not found any information on it at all.
Please help.

Answers:
Google "antique sewing machines" and send emails to dealers asking them how to get an appraisal.

The value of this machine is only known to you actually. What your willing to accept for it, also what another person is willing to pay. As a collector (and a technician) I can tell you is not a rare machine. There might have been 50,000 of them. I bet 40,000 of them are still around. They last forever. Remember back in those days every household had a sewing machine and probably most were Singers.
If the machine and treadle stand is in pristine condition I would say it might be worth 200.00 - 250.00. Average condition and it works, maybe 50.00 - 100.00. Bad condition less than 50.00. Sew Good Luck. Hey, keep it for yourself and learn to sew. Its a great machine for canvas, light leather, upholstery, anything. If you want an appraisal then have an insurance company appraise it for replacement value.
