Bed sheet dilema???

Question:so my boyfriend and i have different ways to make a bed. one of us places the flat sheet with the print facing up and the other says that the print is suppose to be face down. can anyone help solve this silly arguement? we don't really argue, but each of us wants to be right....let's see who it'll be!

Answers:
Well, if you fold the top of the sheet/blankets back over the covers around the pillows it should face down to expose the print.

Otherwise, if the sheet is broader and longer than the rest of the covers, it should face up to expose the the print that way. It just depends on how (if at all) you want to expose the print.

This is what you argue about? Really... You crazy kids.

i think its face up ..
it can go either way. Just make the bed and don't worry which way the sheet faces as long as it is comfortable.
umm.. I need to know more about the situation, how exactly do you two have sex in those sheets? that will determine the answer
The Print should be facing up. when its folded (by the pillow) and then brought over the pillows, the print can show.
The person that does it the way the spouse wants to becuase they love them and it doesn't matter is the person who is right.
You put it face up so it can be seen. This my way of answering. I hope it helps.
Print should be face down - so that when you turn sheet down print is facing up.
lol well i always get yelled at by my gf..she says the print is suppose to be face down so when u flip the top half over the comforter or bed spread the print will show.
face up
There's no right or wrong way to do the beds...But I say keep the print facing up...What's the point in buying sheets if you're not going to show any of the print patterns?
Well I think that the right way to do it is print down so that when you fold back the top sheet the print is up. At least that is how my grandmother taught us. But since I prefer solid sheets It doesnt really matter.
the correct way is print down and fold over blanket .
OMG! My fiance is the same way, I can't believe this. He thinks that the pattern should go down because you fold the little flap of the sheet over the comforter and then the pattern shows. I really have always be taught to put the pattern up, that the way I always do it.
Any time you have a single printed sheet or comforter, the print should always be up. It's for outward appearence...either for you or your company...especially in a case where your sheets are showing when the bed is made. Think about this analogy, you have a ring on your finger, do you take the side with the jewel on it and face it with your palm? No.you have it where people are more apt to see it. :)
the print always faces up if you want it to look like it should, why else would you buy printed sheets
Printed side up, and the toilet paper roll has the loose piece coming out over the top. If this is your biggest problem you are going to have a wonderful life together.
It can be both actually depending on if and how you fold the flat sheet over the comforter. If you fold the flat sheet only once over the comforter, the flat sheet should be print down...that way when you fold it over, you will see the print of the sheet instead of the back side.

If you do print side up, you'll have to make the flat sheet a little longer so that you can fold it twice over the comforter.

ex. once you place the comforter over the sheet the flat sheet will be sticking out quite a bit. Take the flat sheet and fold it down once over the comforter. It will still be a little long and it will show the backside of the flat sheet. After you've folded it down once, fold it upwards and you will then see the print of the flat sheet.

There you have it...A PERFECT BED!
You can do it anyway you want but the idea is to see the print. Probably you can see from both sides but there's one that looks better.
The traditional way is to put the print upside in summer, when you can see it because you're not using a blanket over it, and down in winter, when you can see the print in the fold over the blanket.
I think you put the print side down on your top sheet so that when you turn the bed down you have the pretty part facing you. very pretty;
Print side down if you fold the top edge over. Print side up if you do not fold down the top edge. Don't make a big deal out of it.

Idea, two top sheets - second layer print down and folded over top hem of first layer. (unless too warm)

I personally like to have a fold at the top to leave enough room for my feet without tugging the sheet.
the print is supposed to be faced up. hopefully i helped u
Oh gosh, this is so easy..
Look at a JC Penney catalog or a catalog that sells sheets. does Sears still have a catalog? Just wonderin...
Anyway, it's the same with "silk ribbon sheets". The ribbon or print, in your case goes down SO when you fold the top of the sheet down the lovely ribbon (or print)will show.
It shows class and style, especially in a guest bedroom.
Sorta like slipping your body into a pocket..which essentially you are....

My guess is those that voted 'print up' probably "worsh" their clothes...oh brother.....

My girlfriend and I have discussed this..shh, I am right...
I ALWAYS place the print side down on the top sheet so it looks nice when you get in bed and also if you like to fold your sheet down like with a comforter.. If you have the print side up (against the blanket, comforter/bedspread) you will never see it, you will only have that muted hint of it.
HAHAHA I've had this argument MANY times!
