Laying ceramic tile (acclimation period)?

Question:Is it necessary to allow an the ceramic tiles to sit in the area where they will be installed to reach an equal temperature? I read that this is a necessary step on one web site, but have had problems finding much more information on it. Thanks.

Answers:
I have never heard of it. If you are placing them in a new house that has no HVAC unit I could see how you might need to if it is freezing outside but I wouldnt wory about it. If you feel the absolute need to just let them sit for a day. The reason hardwood floors need to acclimate is because they can expand and contract and need to get use to the pressure and temp of the house before installing. Tile being such a dense and hard substance should and 99.9% of the time not have a prblem being installed right away.
